Wiki-trance

A hypnotic state, characterized by aimless clicking through Wikipedia for hours on end. May cause loss-of-sleep

Last night around 10:00 pm I was looking up The Critic TV show on Wikipedia. Before I knew it, it was 12:15 am and I knew a little more about Walt Disney, the Epcott Centre and Scooby Doo. Where did those two hours go? They were lost in a Wiki-trance !

Wiki Law #1

Any article can hyperlink its way to any other article.

Although there may be over specific exceptions, the rule holds true that an infinite series of hyperlinks could get you between any two semi-popular (read: popular enough...) topics.

A kindler gentler, name for a Wiki Nazi. Someone that unwaverably decides what is worthy or unworthy in a wiki by their own standards, despite any evidence to the contrary.

a Wikibully Rejects new pages because they are written by a newbie. A Wikibully sticks with the old way. A Wikibully forgets they were newbies once. A Wikibully deletes first, reads second.

Wiki Citers

1. A lazy class of Wikipedia Editors that take no time to research content, but rather vandalize a Wiki article with numerous "Citations Needed" Tags. 2. People that do not contribute in any meaningful way to Wiki profiles. 3. So-Called Editors that place "Citations Needed" tags on common info that can not be sourced. 4. Vandals.

Wiki Citers are such a waste of life. It would take 5 minutes to find valid sources to backup profile content. Instead they just blanket the profiles with Citations Needed tags, instead of helping Wiki's look professional.

An erroneous entry in Wikipedia that states that a person is dead.

Vernon Kay was a victim of a Wiki-death stating that he had died in a boating accident.
