Nature Nazi

An intolerant, hyper-extreme environmentalist that believes human beings and the human-built environment has no place on the planet. Rabidly opposed to the idea that cities contain people, buildings and commerce, and uses endless legal action to block development to turn every square inch of land into a nature reserve or swamp grass stormwater basin. Fanatical about preserving every tiny obscure element of the environment, while has an inability to "see the forest for the trees" and that their larger actions are actually significantly more harmful to the planet. Could care less about habitat for human beings to live but is fanatically obsessed with the habitat of some obscure newt or owl. Driven by fanatical ideology and blind opposition than a concern for proven solutions that actually help the environment.

Not to be confused with a sane rational environmentalist that tries to minimize waste and human's negative impacts on the planet.

That Nature Nazi has litigated the construction of a trolley line over a 50 ft stretch of wetland because it might cast an 8 ft wide shadow on the swamp.

A Nature Nazi just blocked a new three-story mixed-use apartment building next to a subway station because it might result in the loss of a single tree planted 15 years ago.
