Snacking

The word snacking means to eat something that is not intended to be eaten alone. It is not illegal, but very frowned upon as it is sometimes quite inconvenient.

For instance if you're eating plain whipped cream or mayonnaise that was meant to be for something else.

Dad! There are no more peas for the salad! Uncle Jim was just snacking them all!
