Irish Traveler

A distinct nomadic Irish ethnic group known to have been in Ireland for centuries, for their own distinct dialect (possibly their own language) and for a certain degree of xenophobia. Synonyms are "Irish Gypsy" and "Tinker" among others. They are not believed to be ethnicly related to other Gypsies though are thought to have a similar lifestyle.

Murphy Village S.C. is known to be home to a few hundred Irish Traveler families.

wannabe irish

Someone who, although they have never been to ireland, profoundly believes themselves to be in some way inherently irish. Maybe their great-granny once saw dublin from a boat, or maybe they just like the colour green, who knows.

Wannabe irishness is most common in the USA, although they pop up everywhere. Things wannabe Irish people like: funding the IRA, talking endless bollocks about Ireland, and using some appropriated version of irish identity to excuse behaving like a drunken twat.

Irish Snowball

A large balloon filled with hot salt water and marbles, fired from a giant water balloon slingshot. This weapon of mass destruction was first used on the battle field, on a snowy day in New England, when Fahhkin Quincy kids declared war on Fahhkin North Quincy kids, and they met at Pageant Field to battle it out in an epic snowball fight. As the battle ensued, a shadowy, yet unusually well endowed Irish figure emerged from the woods, launching large white balls which resembled giant snowballs from a large slingshot-like device. Upon hitting their targets, it was clear they were not snowballs, but instead a balloon like object filled with marbles and hot salt water. The devastation caused each time a ball was launched sent the Fahhkin North Quincy kids running back to the McDonalds across from North Quincy High School, where they sat licking their wounds and wondering who the shadowy, yet well endowed, Irish figure was that single handedly ended their epic snowball fight on that fateful day, using the weapon that is now known as the 'Irish Snowball'

Dude that shadowy yet well endowed Irish figure firing Irish Snowballs, came out of nowhere. We never stood a chance!

We Irish men and women are hard and sturdy people. We've been through a lot but at the same time we've fought through it. People always compare others to how they would fair in a fight. People compare whites to blacks and I agree that blacks would win but Irish...that's a whole other story. So keep your Irish pride and free.
