1. One of the most important bands in music history and became extreamly popular in 1991 with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (the name comes from what Kurt thought was a rebellios term at the time, but however turned out to be his girl friend's deoderant).

Headed by Kurt Cobain, Nirvana Popularized the music sub genre of grunde and influenced many other bands. With 50 Million albums sold they are often cosidered to be the best grunge band of all time.

Nirvana has to be one of the most overrated and shittiest bands ever along with Pearl jam which is even worse.

Nirvana is a pathetic excuse of a band; try to listen to some real music who requires actual talent like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Blind Guardian, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Iced Earth and Riot.
