just a minute

A very old, very British radio game show on the BBC.

Created by Ian Messiter, hosted by Nicholas Parsons. First aired in 1967, now has produced over 800 episodes from different venues across the UK.

Features four witty, articulate linguists (actors, comedians, famous people etc.) trying to talk on a subject without deviation, repetition or hesitation. Good laughs and a healthy amount of banter are almost always present. (often at the expense of the show's host)

rush minute

In middle and high school, Rush Minute is the several minutes in between classes when everyone is rushing to get to the next location.

Similar to how Rush Hour takes several hours, Rush Minute endures several minutes at a time.

Also compared to Rush Hour, Rush Minute is very crowded.
If these hallways don't clear up soon, Rush Minute is going to make me late to class!

Drunk minute

A unit of time that varies in length, in direct proportion to how drunk the person who just told you "In a minute" is, i.e. the drunker they are the longer it will be before they get to it.
Ben said he'd be here in a minute, but it's been half an hour. I guess he meant "in a drunk minute."
