Backup dancer

Backup dancer came up about 2014 when I kept having friends bring these randoms out them. These people tend to not know they are backup dancers. They generally bring nothing to the table, occasionally they have money but 9 times they are just here to make you look good. They are sometimes mistaken for acquaintances but normally you don't know much about they. After a while they graduate from backup dancing to actually friends.
Who'd you come out with ? Some backup dancers!

Those backup dancers over there are throwing shade.

Dancin' Rik

When you spontaneously break into dance. Generally the dancing is non-rhythmic and erratic and should look like you don't know what you are doing. Named for the crazy-ass Dancin' Rik of Cherry Bomb Tattoo fame.

hardcore dancing (HxC)

Hardcore Dancing or HxC, began as an urban dance scene were the rugged and brave soldiers of postharcore music danced to the rhythm of the bass and drums. Individuals usually copy previously invented "moves" and use them as their own, were as clever and constant dancers incorporate their own and show off. The goal is to walk around pumping your fists and singing the known lyrics while you wait for the "breakdown". Once the "breakdown" begins you must start dancing rhythmically and powerfully. There is no resting in HxC dancing.
1.: SING SING SING, PUMP FIST PUMP FIST, SING, !DANCE! ( you just hardcore danced)

2.: Hardcore Dancing (HxC) is not meant or individuals weighing less than 150 punds.

HARDCORE DANCING

Hardcore dancing is performed at hardcore shows to hardcore music and as described in these other definitions it did show up in the early 80's. Contrary to what others have posted it didn't start when a bunch of straight edge kids made the hardcore punk scene. The hardcore punk scene was already established before the straight edge scene was formed. Some of these kids may have dedicated themselves to human rights but not many did. Hardcore dancing then was called the HB strut or the Hannigan. These kids had a lot of energy and started throwing fists in the pit. At this time hardcore dancing wasn't a few kids doing windmills. It was a mob of kids beating each other. It was extremely physical. These moves didn't have any meaning and they most certainly did not represent fighting fascists and those who supressed the scene. Hardcore kids today are mostly assholes who won't let people mosh. They run into mosh pits and start windmilling. They don't pick up people that have fallen. They just simply kick them when they're down. They don't try and calm someone down whos trying to start shit. They take cheap shots at them. They fight in gangs rather than fighting alone.
Anyone who does windmills, two steps, spin kicks, jumps spin kicks, picking up the change should to be castrated
