A portable door lock designed to fit on any door. Most are small enough to be carried in a pocket or purse. There are many different designs on the market. The most common design consists of a simple metal plate that hooks onto the door knob’s strike plate, with a sliding piece that prevents the door from opening. Most interior doors, in American homes, do not feature built-in locks.

This little-known device saves lives in cases of domestic violence, and they should be given away in schools.

My husband tried to beat me, but I took refuge in the kids’ room and locked the door with a port-a-lock. It kept the kids and me safe until the cops got there.

Port Alice

If you think the idea of travelling down a ridiculously long curvy glorified logging road to a half dead mill town is a good idea, you'll love Port Alice. Probably has one sunny day a year, similar to the amount of people employed at the Pulp Mill. Most people have already evacuated the economic disaster, but those who stay are literally old white people and the odd stoner. Oh, that and a couple of 20 something white trash bois who flex their atv's. Port Alice is similar to a beached whale: half dead, has no future, wet, depressing and stinks.

Port 90

A videographer was about to produce a webcast and asked if the server admin set up the media server to accept connections on Port 90 because it was not working. Knowing the videographer pulled the port # out of the air, the server admin called bullshit. The server admin knew that port 1935 was the main port with port 81 set up as a failover. Going forward, whenever someone 'made shit up' the media server team would respond with "Port 90". Leaving the bullshitter with more questions than answers.

Woman is speeding down the road whilst talking on her cell phone. A police officer sees her on the cell phone and pulls her over.
Police Officer: "I would have let the speeding slip if I did not see you on your cell phone".
Woman: No, no! I was just using the phone to warm up my cheek.
Police Officer: "Hmmm. OK. Port 90!!". He then issues a summons leaving the woman looking confused.

Port Alberni

a website dedicated to the hillbillies in Port Alberni (see Urban Dictionary definition) so they can spew strings of words about nothing relevant from their empty skulls to the interwebs.

I went to www.alberni.ca to see what Port alberni is all about, and I'm just stopping for some gas and some pep'n'cheese sticks on my way to Tofino. Or else I catch whatever disease these throwbacks have that gave them the brain damage to spew this waste of serverspace on the internet.
