scunder

Scunder is a word used in Northern Ireland. It is usually used in the past tense 'scundered' as an adjective, although similar in sound to the Scottish 'scunnert' it has its own specific meanning. A neat little phrase sums it up, 'hoisted by your own petard' It is often a personal retort, "That's you totally scundered", perhaps by some sly plan that has backfired.

He though he was being the smart one but now it's him that's totally scundered!

A name for Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV). This was coined by Stephen Fry on his podcast "Stephen Fry's Podgrams" to give CCTV a more ugly and subversive name.

A particularly un-savoury fishy/yogurty type substance found under ones finger nails after being with a lady who's feminine hygiene is not top of the agenda.

Byrneside: "I had a bastard of a job gettin the scunnit from under me nails after pullin that new barmaid the other night".

scun

Scun is the 60's LA Hell's Angels term for brown sticky highly potent bath tub methamphetamine. It is the only form of meth that is strictly injectable, because of its consistancy (A.K.A peanut butter dope). The term is associated with the slam a gram ninja clan (notorious for shooting up whole grams in one dose). Scun is also a sludge metal(bongzilla/eyehategod-esque) band from Arkansas.

Scrunkle

n. scrunkle: the wrinkle in the hood of a sweatshirt when the drawstrings are cinched.
adj. scrunkled: when the drawstrings of a hoodie are pulled, the hood becomes scrunkled

When I walk around school, I always make sure my hood is properly scrunkled.

My friend surprised me by yanking the drawstrings of my hood and yelling “scrunkle!”

Seeing the scrunkle of people’s hoodies brings joy to my life.
