hood dogs

1. A hot dog with a slice of bread as the bun (usually due to lack of money to buy actual hot-dog buns, hence "hood").

2. An improper hot-dog, yet having the same delicious taste. Made when you're out of hot-dog buns.

"Dude, where are the hot-dog buns?"

"We can't afford any. You'll have to fix some hood dogs for dinner."
