stribbling

Verb; a combination of brainstorming and scribbling. Used to describe the action of someone quickly jotting down ideas for future reference for themselves or others.

Also can be used to as a substitute for brainstorming + drawing or doodling.

Other forms: stribble, stribbles, stribbled.

When the new art theme was revealed, Lucy quickly started stribbling the first things that came to mind.

The professor stribbled example thesis statements for use as a class reference.
