People who claim that the 5th generation of Pokémon was peak and the series went downhill after B2W2. Similarly to Genwunners, Genfivers typically grew up during Gen 5 and hold a lot of nostalgia for it. Despite condemning Genwunners for their treatment of Gen 3 onwards, they pretty much act the same to Gen 6 onwards. If you say anything negative about Gen 5, they will either call you a Genwunner, or a little kid, depending on what games you prefer.

Note: Just liking Gen 5 doesn't make you a Genfiver. It's only when you are elitist about Gen 5 that makes you a Genfiver

Here is an actual interaction between a Gen 7 fan, and a Genfiver. For context: the Gen 7 fan was defending Pokémon Sun and Moon:

Genfiver: "Gen 7 was fine major setback but whatever"

Gen 7 fan: "nuh uh"

Genfiver: "I mean ur probably just a little kid who didnt grow up with the true Pokemon games on the DS."
