Friend Crutch

Someone you use in order to stop boredom because all of your other cool friends are at work, with family, etc.

A Friend Crutch is a person who is usually obnoxious or a tool on certain occasions, but won't make you flip out every minute.

Guy 1: You hanged out with Ryan yesterday?! Dude he is such a tool....

Guy 2: Don't worry he is only a friend crutch, everyone else was busy.

A Facebook poke that usually implies the friend zone. It is usually understood that guy and a girl who have poke wars with each other are only meant to be friends.

Person 1: "So you and Sally have been poking each other like crazy. Aren't y'all going to be dating soon?"

Person 2: "No, can't you see we have been giving each other the friend zone poke?"

Someone you don't necessarily like, but are forced to be friends with anyway.

A reference to creator Myspace Tom Anderson; who is automatically on a user's friend list when they create their profile.

Person 1: Jim is totally a Tom friend. I've known him since first grade and our moms know each other; not being friends with him isn't an option.

gnarliest friend

This is the friend in ones group who is the most extreme and willing to shed all dignity in order to gain laughs from any given audience. He may be a little racist and if multiple people chant his name, he will get naked and do the mangina while raising his hands as if he just stuck a landing in an Olympic gymnastics competition.

Henwood is my gnarliest friend.
