A cryptocurrency that has become taboo or shunned by the crypto community. Once it becomes too much of a liability, the cryptocurrency exchanges stop the trading of it and it becomes harder and harder to trade. Eventually the cryptocurrency dies due to a lack of markets to trade.

After the SEC sued Ripple, many trading exchanges halted its trading and XRP became a pariah token.
