Hip Pop

Whatever so called "rap" you hear on the radio that repeats its self 20 seconds each day. Something that little kids like but dont know what real rap is because they were born around 2002, and not born in the 90's like I was, but unfortunatley Im still growing up in this generation. But not everything on the radio is bad, just most of the Hip Pop I hear all the time.

Me: Look Flo Rida is what we call, Hip Pop, not real Hip Hop, like Nas said, Hip Hop is dead, and now is being replaced with Hip Pop. Hip Pop is like a mix of Pop and Rap. Listen to real Hip Hop like Immortal Technique, Eminem, Nas, 2Pac, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun, KRS-One, Kanye West before he put out the 808's and Heartbreak album, Mos Def, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eazy E, Dr. Dre, and E-40 (from the 90's).

collar pop

An act that involves pulling your collar up and over your neck. Despite looking moronic, and defeating the purpose of collared shirts (looking somewhat respectable), this has somehow become a fashion trend.

John Smith: Wow, look at that moron's collar pop.

Me: I really wish clothing companies would start writing 'douche' on the inside of collars. Maybe being labelled a douche by their own clothing whenever they pop their collars would be enough incentive for them to stop.

Oreo-Pop 

A genre of popular music noted for its over-use of affected exaggerated quivery-voiced tremolo singing, often placed in the R & B ctegory nowadays in music award shows and record charts even though it has neither R nor B in it, because it has not yet been given it's own genre-name. While derivative of older Black styles such as Gospel and Motown, it is a formula-pop vocal style which is now used by both whites and Blacks, even crossing over into Latino music, both male and female. As diverse as Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, Lil' Kim and Christina Aguilera.

New Kids On The Block, Brandy and Lil' Kim are all past queens of Oreo-Pop.

Disney Pop Princess

The term used for the many different no talented, teen and tween girls that Disney decide to market. Each girl is entitled to her own show on Disney Channel, and a music album. these girls' later lives are wrought with paparazzi, candid photos, and drugs. Their personality is often the opposite of what Disney promotes them as.
