A expression used in the instant messaging program MSN Messenger / Live.

When typed into the program it produces a snail leaving a trail behind it. The "*zoom*" indicates that the snail is moving very fast, which contradicts the normal motion of the said animal. Hence creating somewhat of a joke.

A person who is not the main focus of the picture, but rather in the background and looks funny--this person is unaware of their presence in the picture and usually has their mouth open, making a funny face, etc. Therefore, the only thing to do is zoom in on this person to make them really big, then crop it so the picture is just of them.

C: Kaitlyn's legs are open in the back of this picture and she's wearing a skirt--you can see everything.

We participated in a Zoom Thanksgiving dinner with friends in Seattle, and then Zoom hopped to a local Thanksgiving dinner with folks in Hawaii, ending the evening Zoom hopping to a gathering of family from all over the world.
