(Also spelled spIn) A word short for "special interest" combining the first two letters of each word. This word is used by the autistic community when talking about their special interests (specific topics that an autistic person is passionate about, and loves to learn and talk about)

Chip-spin

Chip-spin is a legal and accepted way of double dipping a chip.

The double dip chip-spin is used when a large chip is dipped into a dipping sauce. Due to the fact that the large chip does not have an adequate amount of sauce, it becomes necessary to dip again. The chip is then spun around and dipped into the dip. By completing the chip spin, the dip is not compromised with the germs of one person and allows others to continue using and enjoying the dipping sauce.

The act of being rude, fistey, mean, and/or sarcastic toward someone for no apparent reason.

It can also be used to describe someone who is very goodlooking/attractive.

Kayla: Can you hold my spanish book for me real quick?
Leanne: No! Why are you always hassling me?
Kayla: No need to get spicy.

Laura: Wow, did you see Shalalala in the hallway today?
Leanne: Yeah i did! He was looking pretty spicy.

shiny desu

A term commonly used to describe really generic anime with shiny hair and eyes. Usually a digital drawing in which the artist overuses the dodge tool (a tool in Adobe Photoshop that brightens colors). The term started springing up with the arrival of Amuria on deviantart.com, whose style is known for being overly shiny.

"Hey, like my Sailor Moon drawing? I wanted to make her reeeeally pretty, so I used the dodge tool to make lots of sparkles and give her shiny eyes."

"Uh, a little too shiny desu for me. It's hurting my eyes. Ease up on the dodge tool next time."

A phrase used to explain a personal lapse in memory, coordination and/or good judgment by falsely attributing it to the phenomenon of being distracted by bright, pretty things (i.e. diamonds, fancy cars, jewelry, "bling", etc.), especially where the desire is to make light of it; often used in conjunction with a list of actions or other phrases like blah-blah-blah or yada yada yada; a take-off of the concept that blonds are distracted by "something shiny"

Dave: Hey, what's the name of that song you
told me I gotta download?

Pete: Yeah, the song is called, uh...
um... ooo, sorry, something shiny...
