This fear often manifests itself as intense hatred toward the large-scale community commonly known as "Furries." Anthrozoophobes openly mock and demean people not only in the community but also other people who do not harbor this phobia. Anthrozoophobes often conflate the furry community with Zoophilia which is a strawman argument intended to discredit diverging viewpoints from their own. As the furry community is incredibly diverse, Anthrozoophones also can be transphobic, homophobic, and ableist as they don't understand the intricacies of such a large, shared sense of community.
