Most women find this annoying (though some think it's cute, myself included, but only when he's sharing because he's genuinely excited about his knowledge on that).
A perfect example is men trying to mansplain the term "mansplaining" itself, saying that the word doesn't even exist and that only feminists use it. (Hint: check a dictionary.)
