Humanising Data

The premise that charts, tables and graphs are inhumane and the proposition that visualisation systems immerse you in the data in such a way that you can process charts, tables and graphs subconsciously.

Marketing Manager walking to a WIP (work-in-progress) meeting "Oh no, not another meeting pouring over slabs of paper filled with Excel tables and pie charts". Data scientist walking alongside: "Don't worry, we've moved all the reporting into a Humanising Data visualisation system, I think you'll find it very easy to find the data points you're looking for. Manager as they both walk in the meeting room door, looking at the three newly installed large format touch-screens: "Oooh, this is nice".

City Data is a website that pretends to be for social media users to research different places. In reality, it's a forum of controlling weirdos who get off arguing about YOUR OPINON of preferring different weather. IE Not preferring PACNW rain. Then after several weirdos attack you for your weather preferences, when you defend your PREFERENCE, you'll get banned.

Statistical Data Theft

It is when a statistician, journalist, article writer, or anyone else steals statistics from a different country and uses it as a substitute (as if it came from their own country, when it originally didn't).

I read an article last night, and I found a lot of statistical data theft that riddles and renders it pointless.
I can't believe that anyone would engage in statistical data theft to make a point, without doing their own research with stats and data that comes from our country.
