When someone contains all of their knowledge about an object or article simply by reading and believing the marketing ploys layed out by "Corporate" and "the Manufacturers".

In other words, when someone simply reads the box and price tag, then conveys this information on to the purchaser; passing this knowledge off as if they had a clue.

I can't believe I bought this piece of crap MP3 player; man, that sales person really Radio Shacked me.

He sounded like he knew what he was saying when he told me about all the peripherals, but he could only Radio Shack.

Radio kill

To completely annihilate any interest in a particular song by overplaying it on the radio.
Any song that is played around 50 times a day is effectively radio-killed

In order to effectively radio kill songs like "You're Beautiful" (which is akin to beating a dead horse since the song blows anyway), one must play it repeatedly on all the shitty radio stations until the playcount reaches 6 figures and people go postal from even hearing part of the lyrics.

98% of Christmas music is radio-killed at least a month before the actual Christmas day.

freeform radio

An approach to radio programming in which a station's management gives the DJ complete control over program content. Freeform shows are as different as the personalities of DJ's, but they share a feeling of spontaneity, a tendency to play music that is not usually heard. Their ideology tends to be liberal or radical, though their program content is not usually overtly political. Many DJ's mix diverse musical styles, engage in monologues between music sets and/or accept callers on the air. The only rules that free-form DJ's are bound by are FCC regulations such as station identification and restrictions on foul language.

Freeform radio is the format of no-format.
