Rigging

It can be used in different ways.

It is difficult to give a specific definition, however the examples will illustrate the words ‘definition’.

The word is meant to be taken lightheartedly (context depending).
For example if I had just smoked a joint and walk into a room full of people and I feel like everyone is looking at me, I would say ‘I’m rigging out’

Or a similar example would be if there a member of the public on the bus eating beans out of a can with their hands, I would think to myself ‘that is a rig fest (festival) over there’ , or ‘that is a riggy thing to see’.

The gentleman I just had a passive conversation with (who spoke about deeply personal things without the conversation being led there) was, ‘a rig man’.

Riggification

“That’s a lot of accessories you’re adding to your camera, what would you even call that?”
Oh, this process? This is called Riggification.

David Rigging

1. The process of manually altering something to fit one's needs without any regard to the actual assembly instructions. Often, the end result is an item that is partially-functional and only works in a limited capacity.
2. Using an item for something other than it's intended use.
"Would you please stop David rigging that baby gate and just follow the instructions that are on the back of the box?"

"Who put that TV stand together? It looks like it was David rigged."

"This DVD player is held together with shish-ka-bob sticks instead of screws. Who David rigged this thing?"
