allot

A word improperly used by many. As no one wants to recognize that "alot" is a valid word (see David Horvitz definition in Urban Dictionary), most spell-checkers propose to change "alot" to "allot". Unknowingly users just accept the choice.
Next time your spell checker tells you "alot" is not correct, please "add" it to your dictionary.

"I love the UD site alot." After spell checking in Outlook, you end up with "I love the UD site allot."

Allora Elizabeth is someone who believes she isn’t smart, talented, or perfect, however anyone who has ever met her will know she is one of the most smart, talented and perfect people in the whole entire universe. She makes the funniest jokes, but when her jokes turn out to be not funny, she doesn’t care. She loves being weird and anyone who calls her weird will become her best friend, rather than her enemy. She is extremely caring and understanding and she is always conscious of other people feelings. If you end up being her best friend, know that you are probably one of the luckiest people in the universe, and don’t ever give up your opportunity. She is extroverted and will go up to a random stranger and say something stupid just to get enjoyment out of it, and she always brings her friends along with her and laughs as they cower in the corner trying not to be embarrassed by her. Anyways Allora elizabeth is AMAZING and beautiful and that is basically the definition of her.

Person 2: Wait, what? You’re hanging with Allora, oh my gosh kid she’s so beautiful and nice and kind CAN YOU ASK HER TO BE MY FRIEND?!?

French and Canadian word used when phoning people over to confirm you've picked up the call or to check if someone did.
Very widespreadly used in Frane in the fixed telephone days.

Can also be used as a substitute to WTF (less common)

If you call :
- Allo ? It's me, is mom here ?
If you pick up the phone :
Allo ?

As a wtf substitute :
- Jen is getting married even though Adam cheated on her 10 times !! Allo Jen ? Wake up ??

If your feeling depressed just talk to someone don't take your life until you're sure. Eventually bullies will feel sorry for you. Depression is serious , and if you feel like cutting but don't want people to know about it then do something else , like hold an ice-cube or anything other than hurting yourself.
