Stag-fatigue

A medical, physiological and often financial condition sometimes experienced by males from their late-twenties to their mid-thirties (or any period in their lives in which large numbers their peers are reaching the ultimate and inescapable conclusion of the courting process). The number of stag-dos (or ‘bachelor-parties’ for users of the Atlantic dialect of the language commonly known as ‘Simple English’) experienced in a short periods of time can cause a form of fatigue well recognised within the LAD community.

We’ve had Gav’s stag in Marbs in May, yeah, Ste’s in Tenerz in June, and now we’ve got Wozza’s coming up in Blackpool in July. I’m not kicking off or owt coz I’m well made up to be out with the lads but I’ve properly got stag-fatigue. To be fair, Vegas for Dan’s in August is gonna be sick even though Tony won’t be able to make it after the ban he got after the incident on the flight to Kavos for Dan’s. retina fatigue

Where just **looking** at a task makes you tired, before you even attempt to actually exert any physical effort to perform said task.

During an after-school visit with my teenage "horse girl" chum, she had unwisely played afternoon-volleyball with her fellow high-school-girl students at the gym, even though she had a whole trailer-load of hay-bales parked in her family's driveway to unload and put away in the barn. So when we got back to her house and her weary brown eyes first caught sight of said heaped flatbed, she just kinda stood there and stared glumly at the cart with a helpless feeling of major retina fatigue... after all that strenuous sports-exertion that she'd just put out, she rrrreeeeeaaaallllyyyyy didn't feel up to lugging dozens of ponderous weighty hay-bales twenty yards from the wagon to the barn-loft! So we compromised --- I carried the bales from the cart to the barn, and she put them away. She "paid" me for my labors with a warm grateful hug each time I brought a bale to her, and then afterwards she sat wif me on the couch and let me give her a nice long foot-rub.

disaster fatigue

The loss of interest in donating money for relief, volunteering time to help survivors or general interest in media coverage for multiple natural or man-made disasters. You feel guilty for losing interest and legitimate concern for the people affected, but numerous events back to back is exhausting. natural disaster, man-made disaster, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, shooting, terrorism, terrorist act, bombing, explosion, mass casualty

We have had 3 tornados and 2 major floods this year. I have got major disaster fatigue.
