Psychology of Crowd Control Systems

The study of the institutions, technologies, and practices that societies develop to manage physical assemblies—police tactics, legal frameworks, communication systems, physical barriers. These systems evolve in response to crowd behavior, technological change, and political pressures. The psychology of crowd control systems examines how these systems are perceived by crowds, how they shape crowd behavior, and how they can themselves become triggers for conflict. A system designed to control crowds can create the very violence it's meant to prevent if it's perceived as oppressive. The psychology is about the interaction between controllers and controlled, each responding to the other in an ongoing dance of power and resistance.

Theory of Crowd Dissociation

A framework proposing that crowds can induce dissociative states in individuals—a loss of self-awareness, a merging with the collective, a splitting off of individual identity. Crowd Dissociation occurs when the intensity of collective experience overwhelms individual boundaries: in riots, in ecstatic gatherings, in protests. The theory explains both the danger (mob violence, loss of moral constraints) and the possibility (collective joy, transcendent experience) of crowd participation. The crowd becomes a dissociated self—acting, feeling, being in ways individuals alone wouldn't.

Chowder Cow

Originally a military strategy, the Chowder Cow is a sexual act in which two sweaty obese men super-glued in the 69 position are thrown from a helicopter into a tornado while experiencing simultaneous projectile diarrhea and fellating one another. Each man's left thumb is deeply inserted into the other's anus, resulting in two powerful cone-shaped fountains of liquid feces spraying in opposite directions as the spiraling, wet mound of rippling fat and human excrement violently plummet towards earth, ending in a massive eruption of flesh, bones, organs, and various bodily fluids vaguely resembling a mixture of clam chowder and ground beef. If both men experience an Alaskan Firedragon at the exact moment they come in contact with the ground, it is known as a Chowder Dragon.

Crowding the plate

When someone is in or too close to your personal space which is making you feel uncomfortable. Same as how the annoyed baseball pitcher feels when the batter is making they're job harder by taking up the area of the plate he is aiming for.

I was standing in the grocery store line, when the impatient person behind me was practically breathing down my neck to get out of there. "He/she" is "Crowding the plate".

Clenching Chowder
