A version of the CD that can play video. Video CDs were very popular in Asia until DVDs became affordable there, and many DVD players can also play VCDs.

Person 1: "Why are you still using Video CDs? They're useless in today's world thanks to DVDs and Blu-Rays."
Person 2: "All my videos from the 90s are on Video CDs, and none of my computers have a VCD drive..."
