A couple of pieces of bread and some maple syrup, to save money on all the ingredients necessary for french toast.

"What did you have for breakfast this morning?"
"Just a couple of eggs and some ghetto toast. I don't know how I'm gonna pay my rent!"

Ghetto

A person or a place that just isn’t up to par.

A person- their attitude or way of dress.

A place- dirty, smelly, horrible management.

Used as a descriptive adjective.

“Dude, that store smells horrible, it’s so ghetto” .
“Just saw Sandy, she looks ghetto”!

ghetto paved

When the Highway Department paints the roadway black with exterior paint when they were actually asked to lay down real asphalt. It looks like a freshly paved road. It's black like a freshly paved road. It rides like a road with many driveway sealer cracks because it still is a road with driveway sealer cracks, you just can't see them because the rest of the road is black.
