Wisher-Toss

WisherToss is a general category of small group recreational activities that include throwing an object i.e. a wish) at a target.

Target games and competitions are well-documented throughout history and spanning the continents. For example, in it’s most simple form of a Wisher-Toss, throwing a pebble to hit a rock or coming as close to the rock without hitting it. Darts, bowling, horseshoes, bean bag toss, bocce, washer toss, curling are all examples of a Wisher-Toss game.

Games that include a means of striking an object (e.g. a ball) with another object (golf club) are not included in the umbrella category of Wisher-Toss.

Hey man, come up to the cottage this weekend, we’re having a Wisher-Toss tournament. Bring your set of horseshoes to add to the bean-bag toss and bocce sets we have so we can have a Wisher Toss Triathlon.
