Vandolf

A particularly refined version of the Welsh-Scottish name Gandolf but in the later 21st century was used much too often in reference to a wizard. It was not until the mid 1980’s that a “V” was used in replacing the “G” and therefore a name of class, fashion and quiet refinement was created.

vandocker

1. A vandocker is a person (or persons) who enjoy the outdoors away from modern society and whom visit National Forests, BLM land, and Walmart parking lots in their quest for freedom and solitude. They are typically Nature lovers and truly believe in "Pack it in, pack it out" and you will seldom be able to tell whether they have visited a location or not.

The mode of travel is typically in a van but can be anything on wheels and if so driven they may as well have solar panels to aid in off the grid traveling and visiting locations. Many people are surprised at the education levels found within this group as they range from Doctorates to high school graduates or simply a GED. Whatever their education level, they all seem to have a common thread: To travel freely and enjoy the great outdoors with as little impact on Mother Earth and Society as they can.

2. A outdoor and sporting goods company that caters to adventure enthusiasts and extreme sports athletes.

I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I want to be a vandocker so I can be free from society, focus on my passion, and explore the world.

Pulling a Vandreal

On the WoW role playing server "Conquest of the Horde", a guild named Demonifuge had a roll combat system where mages had the ability to cast "Netherwind." A spell that would be an instant crit upon rolling over 20 but if you fail, you will end up summoning more enemies. During one of these combat situations, a character named Vandreal managed to cast an AoE (Area of Effect) netherwind and rolled a 19, resulting in summoning a large group of imps. This was a giant fail and lulz were had. Since then, the act of failing hard at casting Netherwind is now known as "Pulling a Vandreal."

Random mage 1 summons the powers of Netherwind to aid him against the enemies who surround him. He rolls 19. Random mage 1 has summoned a large group of imps from missing the spell. Random mage 1 has succeeded with pulling a Vandreal

Random mage 2 comments "Dayum! You just pulled a Vandreal!"

Concatenation of "vendor" and "vandal", denoting a vendor who is prepared to damage your interests should these be perceived to conflict with theirs.

Microsoft's Product Activation places them in the vandor category - if Windows suspects your computer has changed "too much", it will refuse to run.
