The Ground is Lava!

Fun game which begins once someone screams "The ground is lava!!" at the most random time. Everyone else must jump up onto something and avoid the ground or they "die". Best played in classrooms when everyone is quiet, the teacher's face will usually be priceless.

Pants on the Ground

Brilliant and awe inspiring song/ballad written by lyrical visionary 62-year-old activist 'General' Larry Platt. This brave American man made his Television debut on American Idol's 9th season in Atlanta, Georgia. Following his audition, Idol judge Simon Cowell commented that he believed that the song would be a hit.
"Pants on the ground
Pants on the ground
Lookin’ like a fool with you pants on the ground
Gold in your mouth
Hat turned sideways, pants hit the ground
Call yourself a cool cat looking like a fool
Walking down town with yo pants on the ground
get it up!!
HEY! got your pants off the ground
lookin like a fool, walkin talking
with you pants on the ground
get it up
hey get them pants off the ground
Lookin’ like a fool with you pants on the ground
Gold in your mouth
Hat turned sideways, pants hit the ground
Call yourself a cool cat looking like a fool
Lookin’ like a fool with you pants on the ground."

hit the ground running

Finding yourself in a situation that is fast-paced, and physically overwhelming. Often that feeling is heighted by a sense of mass confusion, and personal ineptness. Term was first coined to describe the "D-Day" invasion of World War 2. When Allied ships inflitrated Nazi shores, and infantry troops literally had to "hit the ground running", to keep from getting shot.
"I started my new job today. It was so busy, I had to hit the ground running, and had no time to get any training in."

Kick it off the ground

Take away the handicap/Do it your way.

This comes from highschool football(American) when the extra point is about to be kicked. Some highschools use a tee to hold the ball after it's snapped, although most do not. If a kicker doesn't want the tee, he asks his coach to remove it and kick it as it was meant, off the ground.
Coach: Go ahead and kick it.

Kicker: What's the holder putting on the ground?

Coach: The tee you're going to kick off of.

Kicker: Really?

Coach: Fine, kick it off the ground.

~~~~
Person1: Let's go through the mall, it's quicker.
Person2: Fine, kick it off the ground.
~~~~

Golfer A: I'm not going to use a handicap, but you can.

Golfer B: Fine, you go ahead and kick it off the ground. I'm taking the strokes.
