The act of ignoring someone on the voice chat program, Ventrilo. Usually while someone is nerdraging on WoW.

After we wiped, he screamed "Take it off fucking heroic!", then we all got the silent treatvent.

the silent treatment is usedon people that are disliked by the general population. this method induces and awkward silence that is hallarious the the people who are ignoring the offensive person. very funny method of making someone feel like, or infroming them that they are indeed and outsider.

(boomer enters the room)

Boomer: whats going onn guys?
Everyone else: ....(silence)
Boomer: what are you watching?
everyone else: ... (silence)

(Boomer leaves)

When you expect a text back from someone, without wanting to add 'TB' at the end of the message.

Timmy: Night Julie, just wanted to tell you that I love you and want to be with you for the rest of my life. XXXX

...

Timmy: (an hour later) God dammit that text so obviously had a silent TB at the end!

silent trade

when a person notices an item of theirs missing and finds it in another persons possession. upon finding their item(s) they will see that it was obvious that that person was going to take it without giving it back. that is when the owner of the taken item(s) realises that the other person owns an item that they like, that's equal or lesser in value to the item that was taken. this swap basically remains unspoken of by the two parties involved. in the end everyone should be happy, they both get something new that they both like.

syd: jackie has my (JC Penny's Nicole Miller top) that i lent her, folded up in her suitcase. well wait, she owns an (Express) jacket that she got half price that i always thought was really cute. well do a silent trade!
