Poklen

Screw all other fucking definitions. This is the right one. Well for all of you know, poklen is a word used in Brunei. People think they're so cool and getting a lot of attention from others. Well think again, you're not cool and it is a disgrace for using such worthless, grammar error and uneducated words.

As I'm saying, most poklens now have invaded facebook and twitter. How to recognize poklens in facebook? Easy, they are using undesirable profile name such like "Doubleonezerosix" "Nineteenzerothree" "thedeathcore" "SiiSayankku" "Tigapuluhribuantahsampai'mana" "Aku Sii Manja", naming a group like "Crowzz'X, " and whatever shits like that so on and forth. And also, they always post their status such as "Like eh my dp gengz" "aku tau aku bida or it means I know i'm ugly" like seriouly kid? If it's ugly, why are you posting it?

Some words that are used in poklen conversations are;

Sayang - sayank
Tu - toh
So - cho
Haha - ahakz
Miss - mishhh
like - loike

And so on. If you're not a poklen, you may recognize them more.

p.s; "Wort" is not a poklen word. "Wort" is an Australian accent.

Human 1: "Hey do you know this guy/girl: insert name Sii'PunaiAyam from facebook?

Human 2: "Oh! That person, he's/she's such a poklen. He/She always type me with the Z's and X's at every end of the letter. Last night he/she texted me "Aku sayank ia tohzz. Ehekzz"

Human 1: "Ew. What a sore lozer. As if he's/she's speaking like russian people with saliva raining in the air, spitting on the face.

Human 2: "I know right, so disgusting. Gonna unfriend him/her. Catch you later!"

Pokécord was a Discord bot which had been shut-down due to some gay reasons.

But NO WORRIES there's a new bot called Pokéhunt in replace of it which gives exact same experience of Pokécord!

Robin: Pokecord got shut down suddenly, I lost all my Pokémon I got by sending nudes to miles 😢😢

poke it with a stick

"Poke it with a stick" is an idiom and originates in one's coming across a motionless thing, possibly some sort of creature. One typically responds by poking it with a stick or any longish handy object one wouldn't mind possibly getting gooey when visual inspection alone fails to identify the thing. Verbal speculation with others is exhausted and one is urged to "poke it with a stick." By poking with a stick, one hopes to find if the thing will move (in which case, all run away), or to find if it seems soft or rigid or recently soft and now rigid, or if the entire thing or only a portion of it is present plus any other information poking a thing with a stick may yield. The stick allows one to investigate in the moment of discovery in situ, when it is unwise or disgusting to use a finger or toe. As an idiom, "poke it with a stick" means that a thing or situation is suspect and elicits morbid curiosity.

"Is that a snake?" "I don't know. Has it moved?" "I don't think so." "Let's poke it with a stick."

poklen

A term used in Brunei Darussalam as a label to citizens(often the younger generations) that tries so hard to be as non-local as possible and fails to look or act proper in their attempt. often identified with poor fashion or naming sense, these "poklens" are often looked down upon.

It can be deduced that the origin of the word stems from the older generation of the local term "puak lain" which literally means other tribe (puak=tribe, lain=other). however due to slang and communication difference( which could be attributed to difficulty in talking due to age) between the older generation and the younger generation its form is slightly altered and merged into one word: "poklen" (Pok=Puak, len=Lain).

Judgmental person: " poklen eh ko ani".
example of olden sentence which could be used by older generations: " jangan tah di tiru poklen (puak lain) atu".
