The futile endeavor of explaining to your pets what they did wrong and expecting them to understand.

I explained to my puppy why it was wrong for him to pee on the carpet. Two hours later he peed on the carpet again. I should have realized petsplaining doesn’t work.

Potsplain

When a pothead tries to justify their reasons for using pot by trying to convince of the benefits. Similar to mansplaining, but with weed. They will often rely on the Internet to back them up and may even offer you a pot brownie.

Luke tried to potsplain me again but I know better than to eat another space cake.

Netsplaining

The internet phenomenon where ask you about a specific thing and the people of the internet tell you how wrong you are to want said thing.

Also, answering an online inquiry in the most unhelpful way. A specific way of trolling the hive mind.

Example:

Before I go shopping for one, are any of my friends looking to sell their lawn mower?

Netsplainers netsplaining: They sell them at Walmart. Try Lowe's. Just pay someone to mow it for you.

Example:

Does anyone know how to activate the missed call light on this specific model of phone? I can't find anything after several online searches.

Netsplainers netsplaining: Just check your missed call log. Just leave your ringer on. Google it. I never liked that light and neither should you. Jeff Parker says you've been netsplained.

Ketsplaination

When someone or multiple people under the influence of ketamine try and explain something with the limited words they have, and manage to make a clear account of something.

Omg he managed to find the words somehow to ketsplain that thing that happened

Puttsplaining

When a golfer, usually a bad golfer, misses a putt and then explains to everyone in the group that the reason the putt didn't go in was because it didn't break or it went straight when it should have gone right or left. This is despite everyone in the group knowing the puttsplainer is a shitty putter and that he/she had little chance to make this or any other putt attempted.

By the time Greg finished puttsplaining why he missed that six footer that everyone on the planet except him knows breaks six inches to the left, I was ready to get in the cart and go back to the clubhouse.
