Huh?

The word used right after a question from someone who is persistent for an immediate answer. This person will often ask random questions just to start conversation without giving you a chance to reply before they ask another question.

Ricky: "what did you think of those titties? - Huh?"

Bob: no reply

Ricky: "hey, what are you doing after work today? - Huh?"

Bob: looks at Ricky but didnt hear him.

Ricky: "you gonna take your truck in to the shop or what? I told ya I can give you a ride. - Huh?"

Bob: "god damn man! would you give me a second to answer you?!"

Similar to nes.

Dave: You done that homework?
Jonzy: Huh?, sorry I was looking at the seagulls outside.
Dave: Huh?
Jonzy: Yeah the seagulls are going fucking crazy out there!

The opposite of "yes-huh". Another way of saying "na-huh". Means no, no way or it's not so.

Can be used to denote that the previous statement was counterintuitive or surprising, requiring a pause to absorb its significance.
