Get the McMansionmug. A colloquial term used on Long Island (Western Nassau County area) used to refer to the McDonalds location in New Hyde Park. It is less commonly known as the Denton House, named after its creator, Joseph Denton, who built it in 1795. It was acquired by McDonalds in 1985.
Somebody: Woah is that huge McDonalds building over there?
Long Islander: Oh, what we call that the McMansion! Their prices are somewhat expensive though!
