When playing Super Mario World on the Nintendo, one has the ability to either jump directly on a koopa as an extra landing device for long jumps. This is usually done when going for a speed run and no time to stop and prepare for a jump.

Roomie 1: Dude! Just dry jump dat koopa to get to the other side. Forget the sproingo thing!

Roomie 2: What the fuck do you think im doin!

Rommie 1: Shit! Gimme the controller.

Roomie 2: Fuck you. We're playin full 5 set bitch.

Koopa

1. Nintendo characters; A race of turtle-like reptiles that come in all shapes and sizes. Most of them are Bowser's servants, but there are also a lot of good Koopas. Bowser's Koopas have many various soldier ranks, most common of which is "Koopa Troopas" (which is another word for "troopers", if I'm not mistaken).

2. Koopa is also the name of their king. Koopa or King Koopa, also known as Bowser or Lord Bowser. But anyone who watched old Mario cartoons or played Super Smash Bros. Melee on Japanese mode knows that already.
Ahem. Anyway, his full name (as far as I know) is King Bowser Koopa.

Koopa Troopa

The turtle-like enemies that are in most of the Mario games. There are 2 different types of Koopa Troopas: ones with green shells and ones with red shells. Koopa Troopas that fly are called ParaTroopas. The first game you could play as a Koopa Troopa was in Super Mario Kart. When Mario jumps on a Koopa Troopa, his shells falls off, and you can jump on it, carry it, or have Yoshi eat it and spit it back. Easily one of the coolest Mario bad guys.

A koopa troopa that has not yet ascended to the rank of troopa. May work in a grocery store or gas station. If it does not become a troopa within one year, it is put to death by squashing.
