The time period between the three, big, love holidays, Christmas, New Years Eve, and Valentines day. This is a time when men, become relationship free. Similar to a bear hibernating. Thus avoiding, gifts, dinners, and long term relationship ect.
This can be an even bigger bonus and a TOTAL bachelor hibernation if her birthday occurs, during the hibernation period

Tommy Broke up with his girlfriend on thanksgiving, then... got back together... on February 15th. That's when he came out of his bachelor hibernation

HIBERVEGETATE

HIBERVEGETATE: A hybrid mix of hibernating & vegetating or "vegging out".

To just stay at home or in one's room & do little to hardly any activity at all. Could include watching TV, DVDs, video games or even the internet.

Usually only done by one person, but may also be done by 2 or more in a group as well.

*EXAMPLE 1*
Mother to Son: "OH.. so you're done with dinner & everything?"
Son: "Yeah, I am."
Mother: "Ok, so I guess your'e going to your room to hibervegetate now?"
Son: "Yeah"

*EXAMPLE 2*
I was hibervegetating in my room when I decided to add this word to 'UrbanDictionary.com'.

The desire to remove oneself from the world, and all forms of communication. The the feeling of wishing to go into "hibernation", to be unavailable for an indefinite amount of time. To turn the mobile phone off and not answer emails, texts, even possibly a knock at the door.
