Used to describe someone, who thinks they are cool or what they are doing is cool, in a sarcastic and negative way.

Commonly used by Americans to describe other Americans who deliberately adopt habits of other cultures because they want others to see how "cultured" they are.

Ex. Usings chopsticks (we all know forks, spoons, and knives work better).

Guinchode

The Guinchode, pronounced (gin-chode) is commonly used as a noun but can be used as an adjective as well. A Guinchode is someone who is the man (or woman) and is very calm and cool in every situation possible.

(n.) You know, if he wasn't such a guinchode, i would definitely punch him in the face.

Ginchy

Chicago's Taft High School Word of the Year for the 2020-2021 School year. It's an adjective to describe someone who is the coolest in the crowd but does not need to show it. This person is generally accepted as one of the best students in the school, not necessarily for their grades or ability is sports but for the way they treat everyone with respect. They are not phony or prone to the newest fashion trends but are their own individuals. They are happy when they can help others succeed and are universally regarded as a down to earth great person. They are a friend that every friend wants to be.

Last week Melissa was struggling with the US History test and Javier helped her pass the test. That kid is so ginchy!
