Someone who is all hot and aggrevated or moody. Someone all in a huff. Usually aimed at spoilt children who cant get what they want or women on their period.

Woman: bla bla bla nag nag whinge whine your not going to the pub
Man: Stop being such a gruffle monkey and put my dinner on for 10pm.

Man: Lets have sex darling
Woman: I cant im on my period whinge whinge nag nag
Man: Stop being such a gruffle monkey and take it like a man.

A phrase used to express feelings of contentness, frustration, and many other emotions.

While laying on the sofa with your loved one and enjoying a cozy day in, one might sigh and say "Muffle Gruffle," as they snuggle in.

Boss: Hey Johnson, your quarterly report is due at noon.

Johnson: (under his breathe) Muffle Gruffle...son of a...
