Believed to have originated in some Harlem neighborhoods in NYC as an evolution of the term 'deadass' which is used in the same way.

Deadchatitis

When a group chat becomes dead for a prolonged period of time. This happens because people lose interest, there is no engagement, people are too busy (it's really bc they lost interest let's be real), etc.

This discord server is having deadchatitis, I have a feeling it's because people realize how much healthier it is to experience life outside the internet.
