Dapper December

Dapper December is the event during the month of December where the former participants of No-Shave November (also referred to as Novembeard, Movember, or Noshavember) have a chance to redeem themselves. It began as the brainchild of Matt Mueller and was taken to the next level by Brittany Reed, both college students. The premise is to dress sharp for every day of December. This means shaving beards, styling your hair, donning a suit or dress, and generally having a neat and sharp appearance. Participants avoid the temptation to have a grunge day and throw on sweats and sneakers and instead take the extra few minutes to put on a classy outfit for an entire month.

I kind of want to wear a sweatshirt, but it's Dapper December and I want to look classy.

Dapto Briefcase

A slang term from the suburb of Dapto, south of Wollongong referring to a box of cask wine.

Origin: Many many moons ago when the rainbow serpent was lying dormant Cecil would say he's off to work and he would tell the passer bys that the box of wine he was holding was his Dapto Briefcase and he was working hard for the government.

dapper ratchet

Adjective describing a person who is exhibiting a finely balanced combination of fancy dress and ghetto behaviors. Similar to Ghetto Fabulous with a different feel.

The "dapper" side can include a debonair and classy aesthetic with tailored dress and thoughtful appearance.

The "ratchet" side is usually influenced by a high consumption of intoxicants which causes behavior to deteriorate or change steadily through a series of irreversible steps.

That dapper ratchet bitch threw a prosecco bottle off my roof while wearing pearls and a corset on Sunday morning.

He is so dapper ratchet that he protected his fancy vest while throwing up over the balcony railing.
