Trekkie Maneuver

This is when someone of Star Trek fanaticism (be it Trekkie or Trekker) randomly relates something to Star Trek in some way to people who could give a shit. This is basically a way to show off one's knowledge of Star Trek.

Non-Star Trek fan: (watching Desperate Housewives)
(Star Trek fan walks in): Hey, what ya watchin'
Non-Star Trek fan: Desperate Housewives.
Star Trek Fan: Dude, is that Teri Hatcher? You know, Teri Hatcher played the transporter technician in Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Outrageous Okona" in the second season. She later got laid by Captain Okona later in the episode.
Non-Star Trek fan: Does it look like I give a shit? Dude, this Trekkie Maneuver shit has GOT to stop!

Trekkie

Someone who is obsessed with Star Trek. They tend to go to conventions, ramble about every nook and cranny of the enterprise, and watch all the episodes they have recorded on vhs.

Trekkie: "Don't captain kirk your phone like that! It will snap in half!
Normal Person: "Wow bro you are the biggest Trekkie."

Trekkie

A trekkie is an extreme fan of Star Trek, a sci-fi television franchise that has begat 6 TV shows, (The Original Series, The Animated Series, The Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space 9, and Enterprise) and 11 movies, with 2 more in the making. Some of the more 'treking' trekkies attend star trek conventions, speak Klingon, and collect tons of Star Trek memorabilia. The not-as-intense trekkies are mere fans of extreme devotion, knowing phrases in Klingon and possibly Vulcan (though not fluent), know the actors playing the main roles of each series, and know all the names of the movies. Your standard Trekkie is probably addicted to Star Trek FanFiction. All trekkies have their own opinions on which series was best, but most agree that the two best were the Original Series and the Next Generation.

Wow, that girl is actually wearing a Star Trek Costume. She's a real trekkie.

Trekkie and/or Trekker

A fan of Star Trek (any incarnation) who has COMPLETELY MISSED THE POINT OF THE SHOW!

Instead focusing on the little nicpicky details, rather than the bigger issue of what unites people of different cultures/ethnicities etc.

Those guys are to busy arguing whether they're Trekkie and/or Trekker to realize they haven't been paying attention.

Fan of Star Trek, all aspects of (dvds, video games, the lot) AKA Scott (who has the Spock ears) and Cat (who wears the outfit as pajamas, but prefers to be a gater. They both own all the seasons, but Scott has them twice, one version has never been opened and is to look at only.
