A boring place......for boring people.

You ever try living in the suburbs? It's like watching flies fuck.

So many kids in the suburbs play video games all day because their boring, paranoid parents won't let them have any fun outside.

Nothing to do, no diversity in culture, race, etc.

Can either be really nice, two floor homes, mostly people making good money, and overall a very safe place.

Or the white equivalent of a hood, one story run down homes, houses alternating from small families to old couples to drug dealers in random patterns, and the occasional drive-by can be heard at night.

Guy 1: Some tweaker came past my window and sang to me while peering into my house last night.
Guy 2: Typical down town suburbs shit.

Any smaller town that lies outside of the main city, of the county its in, in rap "suburbs" is usually used to refer to rich, safe and/or white neighborhoods even if it's in the city limits, similarly to how "inner city" and "urban" refer to poor, dangerous and/or minority neighborhoods even if it's nowhere near the city

Compton, Inglewood, Tukwila and Miami Gardens are suburbs - dangerous, poor and barely have any white people
Boise and Salt Lake City are inner city and urban - safe, rich and very white
