Slava Slav

A slang term for the black men who independently work the club bathrooms, offering hand soap and miniature bottles of cologne they probably robbed from a white man. If, under the disguise of a handshake, you pass him a $20 bill, you earn the right to call him "Slava Slav" for the rest of the night. The only right way to pronounce it is to yell it off key much like Public Enemy member "Flava Flav" does at the end of every "Flavor of Love".

Please note: This may not work with all black bathroom attendants. In some cases, depending on location, you may be stabbed or gang raped in stall # 2.

Serbian Slava

Serbian Slava (Thanksgiving or Glory-giving) is kept on the feast day (Slava) of the patron Saint of the entire family. The special spiritual depth of the Slava can only be understood when one realizes that the family celebrates it on the feast day of the Saint which has been the special patron of that family for centuries - ever since the family became Christian. For generations, the patron Saint's day has been a special uniting force in the family, bringing it together to give glory and thanks to God the Creator and Saviour. Slava celebrates the unity of Christ's Church both on earth and in heaven. The Slava is a sort of spiritual family reunion. Those who are not present in fact are present in spirit; not only living family members who are unable to he present, but also the forefathers of the family who have fallen asleep in Christ, faithful to His Holy Church. The grave does not separate Orthodox Christians one from another.

Serbian slava is an Orthodox tradition.

savage not average

savage not average — a maxim for people who have moved beyond a mere “attitude of gratitude” and want to use their god given human talents to do more than just wait for a blessing.

A person who is savage and not average is a trail blazer.

While it is prudent to be thankful for what we receive; it is also possible to participate in the creativity of the universe by adding our own actions to universal processes to “help things along”. It’s the difference between carrying water from a river vs. digging a deep well and installing pipes and infrastructure.

If you notice that you are usually the first to try something difficult endeavors; but after you prove it can be done others follow in your footsteps you, my friend, are savage not average.

Slavaboo

A person of a Non-Slavic ethnicity becoming over obsessed with Slav culture. They try to convince others that they are Slavic by faking accents and trying to engage in Slavic activities (usually look silly doing it). An insult to real Slavs. Similar to weeaboo but with Slavs.

Slavaboo: Hello Comrade! Want to go drink vodka and squat in a public park? I am so slav.
Actual Slav: Дебил.
