Sidekick Syndrome

Being unable to be the main character in your life, always looking for someone to fill the void.
It defines a person so insecure that they actually look for leaving in the shadow of their best friend that they have chosen.
Eventually they will adopt the personality of their best friend to be liked in social settings.

Gretchen in Mean Girl that would do anything to look like and be liked by Regina. And at the moment she is no longer popular, she switched to Cady. She has the sidekick syndrome, incapable of being her own person.

A popular contraption made by T-Mobile, which can be used not only for making phone calls, but for AOL Instant Messenger, email, text messaging, internet, and several other features. Most popularly used by teenagers to constantly communicate with their friends at ALL TIMES, including while at school, in the car with parents, in movie theatres, and even at social gatherings. Basically, its a social life in a phone.

Boy: My blackberry's so cool, I can play games in class.

Girl: PSHHH my sidekick's so much better, I can check my MYSPACE in class!

the newest phone produced by Danger and distributed by T-Mobile that is significantly better than previous models of the sidekick. the popular swivel-phone has a brilliant large and very bright full-color screen, and has all of the cool features such as AIM, Yahoo, MSN, e-mail, myfaves, texting, picture messaging, a camera, a music player, web browser, calendar, notebook, etc. games, applications, ringtones and themes are available for download. other features are the expandable memory slot, bluetooth, and mood lights.

obviously way better than the sidekick 3, sidekick 2, sidekick id.

it was a little more expensive, but my sidekick lx kicks your sidekick slide in the fucking face. really.
