The moment in time when life was created. Everything that lives has a beginning, an origin in time that caused it to grow and develop into all organic life we have today. The slice of time when organic life began is known as the Pirenium.

NOTE: there is a closely spelled medical term known as the Perineum however they are two very different spellings and meanings.
