Pappy van Poodle is a character from a free to play 3DS game called Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball released in western territories in 2014. Until early 2019, almost everyone, especially in the West, had no idea of the character’s existence. This is most likely because, to even see him, you have to purchase an in-game mini-game from Rusty (the shop owner) without using the haggling option to reduce the price of said mini-game. However, when YouTuber Nick Robinson uploaded a video titled “ The Nintendo character with zero Google results”, interest of Pappy van Poodle skyrocketed and within 5 months he went from 0 to 15,100 Google search results, was featured in a video with over 3 million views as of October 22nd 2019 and even got a petition on change.org to get him into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Pappy Boomers

The aging Baby Boomers, now old. Due to the decline in birth rate, will be without sufficient resources to retire properly. Baby Boomers created a consumerist Western Society after WWII by inventing machines that made house work easier (washers and dryers, etc) and was supposed to help alleviate the burden of life but only drove people to work more in order to earn more and therefore be richer. Today, the Pappy Boomers are worried that not enough youths are part of the workforce to ensure the retirement funds.

My uncle Mort was born in 1951, he was part of the baby boomers generation. Now, he'd like to retire but aunt Raymonda won't let him. She needs dough for boob lift. They're just a couple of Pappy Boomers!

Pappy Van Poodle

The best dog from Nintendo to ever exist, a mentor, an angel, but most importantly — a friend. Forgotten about for a very long time, until the YouTuber Nick Robinson blessed his audience with his knowledge of Pappy, finally giving this character his long due praise and glory. As of now, anyone who has heard about the tragic tale of Pappy Van Poodle will shed a tear at first, only to remember that the dark times of ignorance are finally over and Pappy will be kept in everyone’s hearts forever.
