Post Olympic Depression

The feeling of sadness, melancholy, and despair after the Olympics are over. Sometimes resulting with laying around all day moping in your house, or watching video highlights of the Olympics to cheer yourself up.

Dude: I'm gonna be so bummed after the closing ceremonies, watching the last 50k cross country ski race broke my little heart.

Brah: Yeah, I am definitely going to experience post Olympic depression when they are over. I will probably sulk and and mope for a week. Maybe I'll watch some curling highlights to brighten my mood.....

olympic "athlete"

n. Any participant in an olympic event that obviously isn't a real sport, eg. ice-curling, luge, modern pentathalon. Often these people are smokers, out of shape, and Canadian.

Olympic Withdrawl Syndrome

That empty, lonely feeling you get after the Olympics have ended.

This is usually due to the feeling of unity that comes with the Olympics. The withdrawl makes you feel more alone now to the fact that your country is now back at war/economic crisis/other misc. disasters.

Guy 1: "Dude, you have been staring at the NBC channel for hours, what's the big deal?"

Guy 2: "I miss watching Sweden take on China in curling, I want it back."

Guy 1: "I think you're suffering from Olympic Withdrawl Syndrome."
