A phrase used to describe one-upping a friend with a very trivial, and often unnecessary, correction; typically referencing statistics and other sports related facts; named after Kyler Neufer (alternative spellings Nuefer, Newfur, Neufter), former Division 3 Collegiate Athlete notorious for this one-upmanship behavior; popularized by NHL forward Josh Norris.
