I used to have empathy for other human beings, then I took some classes at Mondale Hall and now I'm just as calloused as the average Wisconsinite.

When you receive only one state in the electoral college. In 1984 Former Vice President in the Carter administration, Walter “Fritz” Mondale ran as the democratic nominee and lost every state expect for his home state of Minnesota and The District of Columbia. A similar scenario Occurred in 1972 with George McGovern. Despite Mondale losing in a landslide, he was still a well respected Political figure all the way up to his passing in 2021.

If Sarah Palin had ran in 2012, Obama Might’ve Mondale’d her with 535-3.

Moirallegiance

One of romantic quadrants, type of love, used in webcomic "Homestuck" to describe semi-platonic relationship between two trolls. The definition diverges from the def. of "platonic love", as it is more focused on pacifying the partner and being the (often only) shoulder they can cry on, rather than being romantic friend of sorts. It is worth noting that it is stronger than love for a friend, but weaker than eros, deep passionate love to ones romantic and/or sexual partner. Not to be confused with friendship, as Moirallegiance is very romantic, and includes cuddling, kissing, etc.
Your Moirail, aka partner in Moirallegiance, is often rerferred to as "palemate".
